Purposes and Objectives
Purposes
· To establish a network of higher learning in the area of engineering and technology for China-ASEAN countries in order to contribute to socio-economic development.
· To promote China-ASEAN cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation.
· To cultivate talents in the area of engineering and technology for China-ASEAN countries by integrating the complementary advantages of her members.
Objectives
· To provide suggestions on the modes, key areas and schemes of cooperation so as to enhance strategic cooperation within the network.
· To establish an open course sharing mechanism and develop shared courses jointly, promoting diploma recognition, credit transfer and joint training of undergraduate and graduate students.
· To seek for financial support from state agencies, social organizations and enterprises in China and ASEAN countries, and set up scholarships and fellowships so as to promote student mobility and researcher cooperation.
· To promote international research cooperation including joint research and technology transfer.
· To share information on courses offered in English, international conferences and so on.
· To coordinate and promote international cooperation with other alliances.
